Guidelines for Authors
Issues in Integrative Studies seeks papers on the following topics:
- Interdisciplinary theory and methodology.
- The nature, means, and problems of integrative research, especially on human experience.
- Models of interdisciplinary / integrative curricular designs both undergraduate and graduate, supplemented by evaluative empirical studies.
- Analyses of the relationships among social contexts, institutional arrangements, and interdisciplinary programs of research and teaching.
- Cross-campus surveys on the status of interdisciplinarity.
- Conceptual and empirical attempts at distinguishing between disciplinary and interdisciplinary teaching, curricular models, and research.
- Special pedagogical approaches for enhancing interdisciplinary / integrative comprehension, perspectives, knowledge, and utilization.
- Polemical pieces on any of the above.
- Substantial and critical reviews of literature published elsewhere on any of the above.
Prospective authors should submit three copies of double-spaced typed (or word processed) manuscripts to the editor at:

In addition, we need an electronic copy, so please include a disk or send the article as an attachment to an email with the document saved in Microsoft Word 98 (or earlier). Send email to wentworthja@appstate.edu. In order to insure anonymity during the refereeing process, manuscripts should bear only the title as a means of identification. Contributors should attach a cover sheet, however, giving title, author, affiliation, full mailing address, and email address. Include a brief abstract and biographical note, and make sure the article conforms to APA style. Use the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 4th.Ed.
