November in the Mountains: A big mountain welcome to all!

What a BLESSED week at the Valle Crucis Conference Center! We pray that we may have PEACE in 2009.

Ask about our new house - The Barker House. Perfect for smaller groups and families. Full kitchen and great views. Now available.

Our four hermitages for private retreats are now available. Please e-mail Tom for an application.

We now have a smaller canvas labyrinth available for groups to use in Bishop Johnson Hall.

The NC School Nurs Association will have a meeting in the Apple Barn on Friday November 20th!

For the weekend of November 20-22 we are happy to have the choir from St. Peter's Episcopal Church from Charlotte here for their annual retreat. They will sing at Holy Cross Church at the special 9:30 AM service on Sunday. They will be joined by a scrapbook group with Jen Williams as well as a group from First Presbyterian Church out of Hickory NC.

Perhaps you might consider giving a gift to support our ministry of hospitality here at the Conference Center. Large or small we do really appreciate them all!

Come and visit and bring a group for a retreat or meeting. We would love to help you plan your next retreat!

The Hermitages at The Valle Crucis Conference Center

. . . . . . . . . .

Secluded in an area of spectacular beauty, the Valle Crucis Conference Center overlooks a peaceful, rural valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We offer our ministry of hospitality to a diverse range of church and non-profit groups from around the Southeast.

Many groups say being at Valle Crucis feels like coming home. Maybe it is our informal and inspirational setting, where groups easily build community, or perhaps it is our popular homestyle meals.

Groups come to Valle Crucis for spiritual and personal renewal, for ski retreats and youth camps, for family reunions, and to meet and plan without the distractions of their usual work environment.

Once at Valle Crucis, groups have many recreational and cultural program options. We invite groups to explore our 448 acres of lush wooded mountain and open valley land, with its bold rushing streams and waterfalls. Perhaps your group would enjoy an old-time square dance in our historic Apple Barn.

The most popular pasttime at Valle Crucis is simply sitting in a rocker on one of our porches overlooking the pristine valley that has come to symbolize the sacred ground of Valle Crucis.

VCCC Grounds

The mission of the Valle Crucis Conference Center is to inspire, by loving example and service, those who break bread with us and share in the quest for spiritual renewal, Christian community, and stewardship of this sacred place.
